Surely it’s Spring Soon?

H & M Leotard, American Apparel Maxi Skirt, H & M Cardigan, ASOS sunglasses, Jeffrey Campbell Shoes

Yesterday was a beautiful day in London, it was still cold but the sun was out and it seemed like spring was looming in sight. So I decided to add on some flower power and throw on a maxi to complement the weather. The sermon at church was about ‘Persistence’ and how important it is to get up after being knocked down, it was super inspiring and got me feeling like I could be the next president of America, and I’m not even American.

I swear by Jeffrey Campbell, these shoes have been through heaven and hell and still go strong. They are the most comfortable heels I own and were my first pair of JC Litas, the collection keeps growing because of how amazing they are.

Came back home today just in time to catch some of Whitney’s ‘home going’. It was so beautifully emotional. All the speeches were stunning.

Kevin Costner’s was one of the most heart-wrenching. A part of his speech was: “To you, Bobbi Kristina and to all those young girls who are dreaming that dream, that maybe thinking, are they good enough? I think Whitney would tell you, ‘Guard your bodies, guard the precious miracle of your own life, and then sing your hearts out,’ knowing that there’s a lady in heaven who is making God himself wonder how he created something so perfect. So off you go, Whitney, off you go. Escorted by an army of angels to your heavenly father, and when you sing before him, don’t worry… you’ll be good enough.”

Now watching Waiting to Exhale and it’s still a little hard to believe that Whitney Houston is gone. But legends never really die, do they?

And days like this remind me of just how very short and unpredictable life is, just how much we really need to enjoy and love life while it lasts!

RIP Whitney, RIP McQueen.

The Vow

‘Life’s all about moments of impact and how they change our lives forever. But what if one day, you could no longer remember any of them?’ Last night I went to see ”The Vow” in cinemas and although it was just another love story, being a hopeless romantic, I absolutely loved it. Most of all, I loved their wedding vows.

Leo (Channing Tatum):

I vow to love you and no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find a way back to each other. I vow to seriously love you, in all your forms, now and forever. I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love.

Paige (Rachel McAdams):

I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands. To speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they’re not, and to live within the warmth of your heart — and always call it home.

Many looked absolutely divine and some just weird. Nicki Minaj actually outdid Lady Gaga in her weird Versace costume which is a pretty difficult task and begs the scary question: what will Gaga do next to win back her title of weirdest dressed?!

Here are some of the outfits Mirror Me loves:

Rihanna in Armani – She apparently wanted to look ‘simple, sexy and ganster’. Not quite sure why she aims to look gangster but she achieved the look she was going for and it’s hot!

Carrie Underwood stuns in this Gomez-Gracia glittery lace gown

Adele is the woman of the moment, winning all six grammys she was nominated for and looking slimmer and absolutely gorgeous in Giorgio Armani, she deserves it all! My ipod would have suffered last year without Adele’s 21.

Katy Perry in Ellie Saab – She has been featured in some ‘Worst Dressed’ articles for this outfit but I think she works the whole princess Aquamarine look, not so keen on her hair though.

Corinne Bailey Rae looks so cute!

Taylor Swift in Zuhair Murad, this dress is divine.

Kelly Osbourne in Tony Ward

Kelly Rowland in Alberta Ferretti- I cannot get over how gorgeous she looks!

Alicia keys and Swizz Beats- love his look!

Bruno Mars looks cute in Tom Brown

Sophia Grace and Rosie- This post would not have been complete without these super-talented hilarious cuties.

The beautiful Jennifer Hudson during her tribute to the legendary Whitney Houston. Wish Whitney was there for the grammys,  but she lives on in the hearts of so many. Rest in Peace Whitney Houston.

I am so happy that Kanye West won Best Rap Album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy definitely deserved it. And also that Bon Iver won Best New Artist as I absolutely love his song Skinny Love!

Summer Throwback

Top from Ebay, Belt from Ebay, Shoes from Ebay, ASOS Jeans, Miu Miu Matelasse Bag

I just found these on my laptop from a lovely summer day two summers ago. Do you ever see old pictures of yourself and think of how different you were then? This was only two years ago but some parts of me and my life are so different now! Most of the recent change in my life has been positive and I’m so thankful for that.
