LUPITA NYONG’O: MAKE-UP INSPIRATION

If you haven't heard about Lupita Nyong'o, please tell me what part of the world you live in, what waves you're riding o, what browser you're surfing on. I want in on your ability to disconnect from the entire universe months at a time because this woman has become a phenomenon. We learnt about her through Twelve Years a Slave and I personally have seen her everyday since then. I mean, not in real life, but is there even a difference these days? She is undoubtedly the break-out star of the year.

She has stunned on the Red Carpet countless times since we first saw her. Her Prada dress at the Grammy's was what dreams are made of. I just wish she hadn't worn that silly headband- what was it's purpose?

I'm super inspired by some of her make-up looks. How absolutely stunning does she look with colourful make-up on? As a dark skinned girl, I've always shied away from having colours on my face and stuck to the most basic of make-up. I hardly know what eyeshadow is and colour for me goes as far as purple or wine lipstick. Putting together these looks really motivated me to step out of my comfort zone with make-up and try something a little more exciting.

I'm so excited to see what Lupita does next.

By the way, did you hear Jay-Z shout her out on his Drake diss track? I'm obviously not impressed that he and my numero uno are caught up in some silly feud but he said about herĀ  "I'm on my Lupita Nyong'o. Stuntin' on stage after 12 Years A Slave. This Ace of Spades look like an Oscar. Black tux, look like a mobster...". Ahhh, Lupita you made it!

Now, your turn!
