OPENING CEREMONY

Winter 15/16 will always be this Opening Ceremony bomber jacket and these Zara boots.

I now understand how people get to a stage in their lives where their style is consistent and they just wear the same uniform everyday. I’ve worn a lot of the same things this winter- this Opening Ceremony bomber jacket, these zara boots, my cross-body bags on rotation.

I think that as we grow up, so many factors of our lives change so quickly and some of the things we knew for sure are no longer what they once were. I find comfort in the constant factors. The fact that this jacket will look as good with a skirt as it will with leather trousers, and then with ripped jeans. And the fact that that won’t change. Maybe it’s just seeking stability, or chasing simplicity. I don’t know. But it is nice to know that as everything changes, my favourite material things will stay the same. Because, you know, the best purchases actually look better with age.

Go on, roll your eyes.

Firstly, I love this outfit. The boots are screaming my name right now. I totally agree, there really is comfort in constant factors. I’m a creature of habit so once I know what goes well together I rarely like to change. Just stick to the same ‘formula’. However I do sometimes try to experiment every now and then. As usual great post Fisayo.
